The Real Deal went party hopping last night. First, we chatted up the guests at the Friends of the Israeli Defense Force Real Estate Division Reception at Gotham Hall honoring Ofer Yardeni, managing partner and co-founder of Stonehenge Partners. Then, we dropped by the Setai Hotel and Residences at 400 Fifth Avenue, where three separate 58th-floor units were decorated in honor of classic films: “Six Degrees of Separation,” “Something’s Gotta Give” and “Wall Street” (see photo gallery above).
…At the FIDF event, Yardeni, who brought his dad with him, said he was “completely overwhelmed” by the designation.
…The Marketing Directors’ Adrienne Albert and Andrew Gerringer, both long-time friends of Yardeni, were in attendance. Albert said that she planned to browse the silent auction to benefit FIDF on behalf of her “good friend and dentist [who] collect[s] baseball memorabilia.” Among the items at the auction were signed New York City-area sports and classic film memorabilia.
…New York Post real estate columnist Lois Weiss said she’s a long-time supporter of FIDF, noting that she has a collection of “four or five” IDF [Israeli Defense Force] T-shirts. She was wearing one of her ubiquitous lapel pins, this time with the words “Real Estate Goddess” emblazoned in gems.
…Citi Habitats head Gary Malin said he tapped Yardeni to “speak to all [his] agents at a development forum” recently.
…Also spotted at FIDF: Douglaston Development’s Jeffrey and son Ben Levine, Prudential Douglas Elliman’s Tamir Shemesh, Eastern Consolidated’s Peter Hauspurg and Daun Paris Hauspurg, and developer Yair Levy.
…Later that night, we headed over to the Setai Hotel and Residences, where Elida Jacobsen Justo, director of sales, told us that about 50 contracts have been signed. The residences expect closings in about three weeks and move-ins by the holidays.
…Giuseppe Rossi, executive vice president of Setai Fifth Avenue developer Bizzi & Partners, was on hand to show off the 58th-floor residences, which drew on classic films for the “Designer Visions: Cinema Style” Show House, much like the Cassa Hotel and Residences did for Showtime series earlier this year.
…A spokesperson for the development told us the residences are available with or without their cinematic furnishings, including a “Money Never Sleeps” bedroom pillow, in honor of the film “Wall Street.”
