Hosting a dinner party for 12 in a 420-square-foot home seems impossible, but Graham Hill, founder of eco-advocacy site Treehugger.com, said he believed it could be done. In a contest Hill hosted, designers were tasked with creating a small-size New York City apartment with amenities typically associated with larger homes, like guest rooms and home offices, according to Mashable. The contest, which drew 300 submissions, pledges that Hill will purchase and live in the apartment once complete. The winning entry, entitled “One Size Fits All,” includes convertible furniture, which can be hidden and stored when it’s not in use, and a bathroom in which the toilet and the shower share the same space.
