Dogfight gets catty at Sutton Place South

Residents at the 14 Sutton Place South apartment building are accusing one woman’s pet dogs of being vicious mongrels, according to the Post. But owner Liz Weston, a writer, says her dogs, Kodi and Theo, couldn’t have acted cruelly because they are certified, award-winning therapy dogs who cheer up kids at local hospitals. However, the tenants corporation at the building allegedly says that Theo violently attacked another dog. Weston was ordered by the building to keep the dogs on choker collars at all times and only use the service elevator with them. Weston filed a lawsuit Tuesday, demanding that the building rescind the restrictions. “It’s like they are on a witch hunt for me,” Weston said. “It’s insulting that these two animals are doing so much and there are people in this building who are prejudiced against them.” [Post]
