New York-area foreclosure rates continue to increase: data 

Foreclosure rates in the New York-White-Plains-Wayne, N.J. areas continued to
increase in July over the same period last year, increasing 1.15
percentage points to 5.19 percent, compared with 4.04 percent in July
2010, according to data released today by CoreLogic.

Foreclosure activity in New York-White Plains-Wayne is higher than the
national foreclosure rate, which was 3.44 percent for July,
representing a 1.75 percentage point difference.

In addition, the mortgage delinquency rate in New York-White
Plains-Wayne has increased, according to CoreLogic. In July, 8.38
percent of mortgage loans were 90 days or more delinquent, compared to
8.21 percent for the same period last year, representing an increase
of 0.17 percentage points.

The foreclosure rate was also up from March, when it was at 5.08
percent
