Jeffrey Greene's $36 million Tyndal Point purchase marks priciest sale

The top 10 Hamptons residential sales of 2011 were all more than $20 million, according to a report from Town & Country Real Estate today. The most expensive was real estate entrepreneur and Florida politician Jeffrey Greene’s purchase of Tyndal Point from Robert Rust for $36 million. Rust inherited the gorgeous property from an aunt in 2006, according to published reports. “Greene wisely took advantage of the current market conditions and purchased an extraordinary piece of the East End. Frankly, it was a great deal,” the brokerage said in its report. — Guelda Voien
