Film production company leases penthouse of Herald Square skyscraper

Miron agent represented her husband's company, Worldview Entertainment, in the deal

Film production company Worldview Entertainment signed a lease last Thursday for a 6,500-square-foot space at 1384 Broadway between 37th and 38th streets.

The New York City-based Worldview will pay $41.50 per square foot for the penthouse of the 1920s-era skyscraper, according to Sarah Woodrow, an agent at brokerage Miron Properties, who represented Worldview.

The expanding company recently released “Killer Joe,” a dark comedy starring Matthew McConaughey written by Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Tracy Letts.

“They were looking for something unique because they’re in the entertainment industry and they really need that wow factor,” said Miron’s founder, Jeffrey Schlieder.

The space occupies the 25th and 26th floors — with offices on the 5,500-square-foot lower level and a small meeting room and private roof deck on the upper level — that Worldview plans to redesign in the coming months, including adding a screening room, Schleider said.

“It’s the perfect space for the next stage of our company’s growth,” Worldview CEO Christopher Woodrow, who is Sarah Woodrow’s husband, said in a statement to The Real Deal.
