Halstead launches sales at Harlem’s 5 West

Sales have officially launched at 5 West, a new luxury condominium development in Central Harlem, Halstead Property Development Marketing told The Real Deal. Halstead, the exclusive marketing agent, has already received offers on 40 percent of the 13 units, the brokerage said in prepared statement.

The six-story development, at 5 West 127th Street, between Fifth and Lenox Avenues, offers one- and two-bedroom apartments, ranging in size from 698 to 1,027 square feet and in price from $389,000 to $689,000. The units feature oak hardwood floors, kitchens with granite countertops, master bathrooms with marble tiles.

The project was developed by Yoni Bak from Kane Ventures.

Husband and wife team Jeffrey and Kristin Krantz are leading the sales team for Halstead, the brokerage said. Jeffrey Krantz, in the statement, said that the building’s offerings, coupled with low inventory across Manhattan, has led to “significant interest” in the development.

The successes of the local restaurant Red Rooster and other luxury residential developments in upper Manhattan, such as Durst Fetner’s 1212 Fifth Avenue, may have heralded a resurgence in the area. — Guelda Voien
