Miami brokerage ISG opens New York office

From the South Florida website: Miami-based brokerage International Sales Group has opened an office in New York City, the firm announced today. The company, whose portfolio includes downtown Miami’s MyBrickell, Vizcayne and the Apogee Beach in Hollywood, has taken a space at 436 East 58th Street in Turtle Bay. Northeast native Ken Golden has been tapped to head the new office. The company said it made the move to focus on New Yorkers interested in buying property in Florida.

Although foreign buyers have been seen as the saviors of South Florida’s residential market, domestic buyers – especially in the New York-area — have begun investing in the popular vacation destination once again. In fact, ISG is not the first marketing team to descend upon Manhattan to pitch high-end Miami properties. As The Real Deal reported, a Florida-based Elliman team hosted a party last month to showcase a $9.85 million penthouse to New Yorkers interested in buying property in Florida, a growing trend now that Miami’s high-end market has begun booming. – Alexander Britell and Christopher Cameron
