Dumbo could have a new residential building in its midst at 201 Water Street, Brownstoner reported. The owner of the property is listed as Simon Dushinsky. Karl Fischer is the architect on record and has an upcoming date with the Landmarks Preservation Commission on the October 23 for an application to alter the building’s masonry openings, install storefront infill, construct rooftop additions and replace windows.

The plan is to develop 126 residential units across six stories in the building, which is also known as the Jay Street Arts Building. The Department of Buildings did not approve original plan, and has yet to sign off.

The 81,805-square-foot building currently stands at three stories. PropertyShark shows the building houses two commercial units.

As previously reported, a three-story Dumbo warehouse at 51 Jay Street —  primed for residential conversion — entered contract this summer. [Brownstoner]
