Inman’s annual list of the 100 most influential real estate leaders is out, and it includes some big New York City real estate names.

One of those named is particularly near and dear to us at The Real Deal. Inman included on its list our publisher, Amir Korangy, who founded The Real Deal in 2003 and who last year produced a PBS documentary on the architect Costas Kondylis.

Douglas Elliman President and CEO Dottie Herman, who last night received the Kenneth R. Gerret Humanitarian Award at the REBNY banquet, also has a spot on Inman’s list. Herman began her career as a financial planner and a part-time sales broker. Today, she is at the helm of Douglas Elliman, which has 3,800 agents across 65 offices in the Greater New York area.

The Corcoran Group’s President and CEO Pam Liebman was also named on Inman’s list. As The Real Deal previously reported, Liebman has worked for Corcoran from her early 20s, rising through the ranks to become the president and CEO in 2000.

Halstead Property President Diane Ramirez is another recognizable name on the Inman list. Ramirez helped found the brokerage in1984. Inman says Halstead was the first big brokerage to use storefront offices in the city. [Inman News]Zachary Kussin
