Racist, sexist graffiti prevalent inside 1 WTC

Intended to stand as the nation’s highest symbol of solidarity, the halls of the World Trade Center have been decked with epitaphs of division. According to the New York Daily News, the interior of the under-construction tower is marred with sexist and racist graffiti.

Many of the spray-paint scribblings use the “N-word” and the tag “whites only” features prominently over one of the building’s bathrooms. “Where’s Obama’s birth certificate!!!!” reads another tag.

“It’s filthy, it’s shocking,” Marie-Anne Sanchez, 37, who was visiting from Paris, said. “This is a holy place. People died here. I don’t like this. It makes me sad.”

And while there has been some effort to clean up the graffiti that has apparently become ubiquitous in the building, neither Tishman Construction nor the Port Authority make it a priority, a source told the Daily News. [NYDN] –Christopher Cameron

racism is everywhere. but this piece is a desperate attempt to relate the 2 subjects. wtc is in fact a symbol of a cover up that the government sells to its people on a daily basis.

You need to lighten up, this is nothing and is common on many construction sites. There’s always crap like this written in the port o john walls and it goes back and forth with regard to ‘discrimination’. It’s the construction workers clowning around and is really meant for their eyes only.
