The Dutch Kills area near the Queens Plaza is slated to get a new Crowne Plaza hotel.
There are as yet no new Department of Buildings permits for the site at 4231-4235 Crescent Street, on the corner of 42nd Road. The site currently has a construction fence that’s wrapped around a shuttered auto shop.
But according to a rendering seen by Brownstoner, the hotel will be eight stories high and will have a rooftop lounge.
The Crowne Plaza is part of a hotel boom in the area, with projects such as the 22-story Aloft hotel on 27-45 Jackson Avenue slated for completion in 2015, according to Brownstoner. [Brownstoner] – Hiten Samtani
