Priciest, cheapest listings to hit the Manhattan market this week

Douglas Elliman’s Vickey Barron had this week’s priciest listing with a $55 million penthouse condominium at 212 West 18th Street in Chelsea. This 5,955-square-foot “crown jewel” of Walker Tower boasts 360-degree unobstructed river and harbor views, floor-to-ceiling windows, five bedrooms, five-and-a-half baths with custom marble details and a freestanding cast iron bathtub in the master, three wood burning fireplaces and coffered 13-foot ceilings. To top it all off, the fully pre-wired pad is warmed via radiant heating beneath French herringbone oak floors.

The week’s next priciest listing, a historic $46 million townhouse at 125 East 75th Street in Lenox Hill, was built in 1965 by financier Paul Mellon and his wife, White House Rose Garden designer Bunny Mellon. The luxurious pad boasts between five and eight bedrooms, eight baths, a chef’s kitchen, wine room and elevator. Louise Beit of Sotheby’s International Realty has the listing.

The next-priciest listing of the week is down in the West Village at 755 Greenwich Street. This 10,200-square-foot renovated townhouse and guesthouse features 70 landmark-approved wooden windows in the façade, original stoops and doors, all-new plumbing and electric. The home also has seven bedrooms, numerous wood burning fireplaces, five-and-a-half baths, two guest suites, home offices, a library, play room, mud room, private gated garden and finished basement. The week’s cheapest listing is back uptown at 70 Park Terrace in Inwood. The listing for this $165,000 studio co-op is scant on detail, but building amenities include an elevator and live-in super. Oxford Property Group’s Takuya Murakami has the listing.

The next-cheapest listing of the week, located at 880 West 181st Street in Hudson Heights, is a one-bedroom prewar co-op in the Falkland. The unit features hardwood floors, generous closet space and a fully-equipped kitchen with a Viking stove and stainless steel appliances. Ante Jakic of Reaction International has the listing.

The third-least expensive of the week, also in Hudson Heights, is for a one-bedroom co-op at 100 Overlook Terrace asking $269,000. The property boasts hardwood floors, western exposures, generous closet space and lots of light, while building amenities include a 24-hour lobby attendant, two laundry rooms, a live-in super and a wait-listed garage for an additional fee.
