One of the city’s largest commercial service firms, Massey Knakal Realty Services, tapped a former Tishman Speyer executive to be its first chief marketing officer, the company said in a statement. Massey Knakal hired Petula Lucey, a former senior director at Tishman Speyer, who led the firm’s global corporate marketing division. She started September 3.

The move is part of an expansion Massey Knakal started about two years ago, when it stepped into new markets, including retail leasing and mortgage brokerage in January 2011.

“The vision is becoming a super-regional firm,” company CEO Paul Massey told The Real Deal. “If you are getting into new businesses you want clients and other real estate brokers to know what services we provide.”

Lucey’s hire was the latest in a string of additions to beef up the company’s corporate structure. The firm hired Neil Heilberg as chief operating officer in May 2012 and Todd Korren as executive managing director earlier in February. The firms has also beefed up its numbers overall, growing from 120 full time employees in April 2012 to 172 as of this week. — Adam Pincus
