Fancy being a part of Beyoncé lore? A 13,000-square-foot Lafayette Street townhouse where the superstar diva filmed the video for her 2009 hit “Halo” is now on the market for $80,000 per month.

The home at 214 Lafayette Street is located inside what was once one of the city’s original power stations. It boasts a swimming pool visible from the dining room and is also featured in John Mayer’s “Who Says” video, according to the New York Post.

Urban Compass’ Steve Halpern has the listing, according to the Post. The house is also being offered as a single day rental for $20,000 or at a per-event price of $25,000. [NYP, 2nd item]  – Hiten Samtani

I’m sure Urban Compass used their Wall Street pull to get this listing.

The certificate of occupancy issued 2010 is for a combination of Artist Studio and JLWQA. The space seems to nearby residents to have been almost continuously used, in non- compliance, as an event or film studio space.
