Gawker Media is expanding its offices at Nolita’s 210 Elizabeth Street. Gawker currently occupies the third and fourth floors of the building, owned by real estate investor Stanley Wasserman, and will now add the second floor to its empire of snark.

Gawker’s editorial director told staff in an email seen by Capital New York that “our long search for a new office is over, and it turns out what we were looking for was right beneath our noses the whole time.” Gawker had been looking to relocate to a larger office in another building, according to the website.

Wasserman acquired the building along with three others on Elizabeth Street in a $45.2 million deal last year, according to previous reports.  [Capital New York] –  Hiten Samtani

Bad timing: Gawker is being sued by Quentin Tarantino. Could cost them their business.
