A luxury apartment once owned by Veronica Atkins — the wife of the late nutritionist Dr. Robert Atkins — located on one of Time Warner Center’s top floors was listed on StreetEasy this week for $24 million, nearly $8,000 per square foot.

Broker Stratos Costalas with Oxford Property Group has the listing for the 3-bedroom, 4.5-bathroom apartment on the 74th floor of 25 Columbus Circle.  The 3,027-square-foot apartment is the southernmost on the floor, offering nearly 70 feet of frontage that allows unblocked views of Central Park and the skyline.

According to property records, the trustees of Dr. Atkins’ estate were the owners. Constales told The Real Deal they are not the current seller, however.

Compared to the penthouse of the building, which last sold for $37.5 million and is now on the market for a whopping $75 million — or the unit on the 54th floor asking nearly $50 million — this unit is a “bargain,” Constales said. “A lot of times sellers in this building list for a high price and it just sits there until the price comes down,” he said. “We’re motivated to sell.

Interestingly, more than half of the interested buyers are international, a trend Constales said he’s seen before when selling other Time Warner units. It was with the help of foreign investors that Related Companies purchased the 1.1 million-square-foot building just last month for $1.3 billion.
