Despite previous reports that the last full-floor penthouse at 56 Leonard Street had already hit the market, the 145-unit Tribeca condominium in fact had more penthouses to offer, it seems.

The final penthouse unit, no. 52A, will soon be put up for sale asking $18.75 million, Curbed reported. Measuring 3,658 square feet and boasting an additional 510 square feet of exterior space, the unit could be combined with neighborhoring no. 52B, which is currently listed for $16.5 million. Combined, the duo would measure 7,367 square feet — only a few hundred shy of the record breaking 7,799-square-foot penthouse at the building, which is currently in contract for $47 million.

Penthouse sales at the 60-story, 145-unit Tribeca condominium tower have averaged a blockbuster $5,213 per square foot, according to previous reports. [Curbed]Julie Strickland

  • Define Penthouse ?

The term Penthouse is simple, the top floor of a building….. I understand if a top floor might have two PH’s.. That is understandable…. BUT THIS IS GETTING OUT OF HAND WITH NEW CONDOS – How Many Penthouses Can each Building have ???? Reminds me of Related’s “The Tate” Rental Building at 535 West 23rd…. Their are roughly 60 + so called Penthouses in that 300 unit building… Floors 10-11-12-13 in the North Tower are called “North Penthouse 1 / 2 / 3 / 4 then unit letter” and Floors 9-10-11-12 in the south tower are called “South Penthouse 1 / 2 / 3 / 4 – then unit letter…. I lived in North Penthouse 2A for years (translation – Apt 12A) – Try ordering Chinese Take out – it is a nightmare when you give them your apt number…..Apt 2A, no, Apt North A, no, Apt North Penthouse, no, Penthouse 2A, no, it is North Penthouse 2A……uuuurrrgghhhhh.. lol

Don’t get me wrong, genius marketing on Related’s part, who doesn’t want to live in a Penthouse. But that is a rental building, not a $5,000 + psf condo.
