Spector to unveil WeWork’s new Soho façade

WEEKENDEDITION The new façade of WeWork’s Soho building will be unveiled by the end of March, Marc Spector, a principal at Spector Group, the architect on the project, has announced.

WeWork, a national collaborative workspace provider, tapped Spector Group to design an entirely new base to the exterior façade at 175 Varick Street. The new façade will feature a dark grey grid and large portals of glass with black window mullions, according to the New York Observer.

This is the third collaboration between WeWork and Spector, and previous projects include a 70,000-square-foot shared space on the ninth and 10th floors of 25 Broadway.

Asked why Spector Group seems to be WeWork’s architect of choice, Marc Spector told the Observer: “We compliment them in size and efficiency.” [NYO]Christopher Cameron
