Steepest, cheapest new Manhattan listings this week: PHOTOS

Amenities include fireplace from Italy, hardwood floors from Paris and stone tubs from Mexico

Douglas Elliman’s Tal Alexander and Oren Alexander had the priciest single-family residential listing to hit the Manhattan market this week with a $27 million townhouse at 132 East 62nd Street in Lenox Hill. Located just off Park Avenue, the five-story home boasts six bedrooms, six-and-a-half baths, a basement, landscaped garden and elevator. The garden level features a foyer with marble floors, gallery, chef’s kitchen and living/dining room that opens to a fully-landscaped garden with a water wall, while the parlor holds a drawing room, den and library. The master bedroom suite on the third floor has a wood-burning fireplace, ensuite bath and a mahogany wood paneled study with yet another fireplace.

Halstead Property’s Rosemarie Deane had the second-priciest listing of the week with a  $14.9 million co-op at 555 Park Avenue in Lenox Hill. The four-bedroom duplex boasts parquet de Versailles flooring throughout, First Empire fireplaces imported from Italy and three reception rooms separated by columns. The drawing room is topped with coffered ceilings and features a wood-burning fireplace, while a wood-paneled study overlooks a garden, The master bedroom holds adjacent walk-in closets and his and hers marble baths.

Third on the pricey end this week is a $12.99 million penthouse condominium at 40 Broad Street in the Financial District. The home boasts reclaimed hardwood floors from the Portuguese embassy in Paris, two retractable glass garage doors on opposite sides of the apartment and a corner living space with a sauna bathroom, according to the listing. The bath is outfitted in reclaimed 1930s floral-patterned, hand-cut blue stone tiles from Belgium, while the stone tub was cut from a single stone imported from Mexico. Platinum Properties’ Daniel Hedaya and Khashy Eyn have the listing.

The cheapest listing to hit the market this week is a $175,000 two-bedroom co-op at 454 West 152nd Street in Hamilton Heights. Located on the top floor, the unit is currently configured as a convertible junior four-bedroom with an open office space, according to the listing. Exit Realty Landmark’s Don Moses has the listing.

Second cheapest this week is a $245,000 two-room studio co-op at 119 West 80th Street on the Upper West Side. The parlor-floor unit has a rent-stabilized tenant currently in place and is extended to investors only. The home features 12-foot ceilings and an original fireplace in need of refurbishing, according to the listing, which is in the hands of Corcoran’s Wendy Nanasi.

Wrapping up the inexpensive end is a $275,000 one-bedroom co-op at 501 West 156th Street in Washington Heights. Lined with walnut hardwood floors atop a soundproofing board, the home also boasts an updated electrical system with surround sound speakers and recessed lighting on dimmers.
