A Hong Kong-based buyer has shelled out $30.6 million for a 60th-floor unit at Gary Barnett’s One57, according to property records filed with the city.

Rainbow Choice International Limited closed on the sale March 28. The unit, 60A, isn’t listed on StreetEasy, but a three-bedroom, 4,200-square-foot unit directly below it sold for $30.4 million.

Barnett took a very private approach to sales at the 1,004-foot-tall tower at 157 West 57th Street, opting to keep listings off StreetEasy and off broker databases such as the Real Estate Board of New York’s Residential Listing Service (RLS). Only 10 sales at the building have hit public record, but among the units in contract is a 13,554-square-foot duplex known as the “Winter Garden penthouse,” which Bill Ackman and other investors bought for north of $90 million.
