Spa Castle, an Asian sauna and European spa fusion located on a 100,000-square-foot spread in Castle Point, Queens, is gearing up to open a second New York location in Midtown East.

The new space at 115 East 57th Street, between Park and Lexington avenues, is the former home of the New York Health and Racquet Club. The spa, dubbed Spa Castle Premier, will occupy the building’s eighth, ninth and 10th floors of the 57-story building and will also include an outdoor sun deck, according to the Spa Castle website. A swimming pool is currently located on the eighth floor, and an outdoor sun deck will be converted to partially include a bade pool.

The Manhattan locale will be Spa Castle’s third outpost in the U.S., after establishments in Carrollton, Texas and College Point, Queens. Parent company C. Castle Group will be handling the project’s design, construction and operation in-house, according to the Spa Castle website. The venue is slated to open this fall. [Gothamist]Julie Strickland

I’m surprised they don’t open in Upper Manhattan since so many residents travel to their College Point location. Too bad, we don’t have a water park for working class people.

This is not a water park, it’s a Korean spa.
