Despite miserly inventory levels and a drop in their total number of exclusive listings, New York City’s big residential guns — firms like Douglas Elliman, the Corcoran Group, Brown Harris Stevens and Sotheby’s International Realty — have seen the total dollar volume of their Manhattan listings jump this year. This is, of course, because they’ve snagged many high-end exclusives. Our annual brokerage ranking takes a closer look at their listings and the firms behind them, and it’s available online now.

The World Trade Center mammoth retail complex, owned by the Westfield Group, has been trying to rope in more high-end tenants, even as some retailers have expressed reluctance to set up shop underground. This month, TRD assembled the most comprehensive list of tenants expected to take space at the project. We also obtained maps of the full retail complex indicating where retailers are likely to plant their flags.

Gary Barnett’s One57 is equal parts glamour, secrecy, luxury and controversy. We took a closer look inside the city’s most talked-about tower, from its ultra-pricey sales to its quirkier details.

There’s tons more in this issue, including profiles of the city’s top in-house leasing professionals, who together oversee more than 100 million square feet of office space, a look at whether the residential market’s current rise is sustainable, and an analysis of the city’s mid-sized brokerages.

Finally, in our Closing interview, Winick Realty Group’s Jeff Winick talks about his collection of Rolexes, his closest industry friends and his approach to deal-making.
