A 30-story hotel on the rise in Midtown is likely to become a Hampton Inn.

The 300-room lodging, developed by OTO Development and with Helpern as the architect of record, is located at 220 West 41st Street and will total 140,000 square feet. The rooftop is set to rise 298 feet above street level, with additional bulkheads pushing the final height to 332 feet, according to New York Yimby.

The three-star hotel is slated for completion in the spring of 2015. The Spartanburg, S.C.-based developer purchased the 220-246 West 41st Street site, between Seventh and Eighth avenues, for $36 million from the Brach family in 2012. [NY Yimby]Julie Strickland

These Hampton Inns , Marriotts that are being built all over the city are a design disgrace .. They remind me of the craftsmenship used for TD Banks and Duane Reades. Horrible Blemish on the skyline
