The sponsors of the six-story condominium building One York filed a lawsuit against contractor Lend Lease Construction and three other firms for allegedly making and installing faulty windows.

The plaintiffs, who filed documents in Manhattan Supreme Court, said it would cost about $10 million to replace all of the windows, the New York Daily News reported. They claim residents of 1 York Street complained that the windows easily cloud up, and result in streaking and discoloration on the window seals.

Stanley Perelman of Jani Real Estate developed the 32-unit property in Tribeca. Sales launched in 2010, and the penthouse sold two years later for $34 million, according to StreetEasy.

The contractors found that the installers relied on unapproved gaskets and the incorrect mix of sealant and glazing materials, according to the lawsuit.

Lend Lease and the other defendants named in the suit did not comment to the Daily News. Lend Lease, the giant Australian builder behind the One57 project, is also facing a lawsuit from fellow contractors over a $122 million agreement for work on Columbia University’s 17-acre expansion project in Manhattanville, as previously reported. [NYDN]Mark Maurer
