New York City’s latest gourmet market will be opening in a spot at 10th Avenue and 28th Street just outside a High Line entrance.
Terence Park, owner of the Bread & Butter market chain has chosen the Port 10 luxury building at 303 10th Avenue as the home for his eatery concept Hudson Market, the New York Post reported.
Alexander Hill, senior director at Eastern Consolidated, represented Park in the deal to fill the 5,100-square-foot-space, the newspaper reported. Joshua Young was the in-house broker for Port 10 landlord Atlantic Development Group. The commercial space has been vacant since the building opened a few years ago and had an asking rent of $100 per square foot.
Park is reportedly scouting additional locations in Tribeca and on Park Avenue South for Hudson Market branches, which will include organic grocery and produce, coffee bars and a vegetarian restaurant with a menu created by Greg Grossman, the 19-year-old executive chef at Georgica, according to the newspaper.
