Top five home sales in Brooklyn, Queens in August

Brooklyn Heights townhouse, Whitestone house topped the charts for the month

A four-story, single-family townhouse in Brooklyn Heights that sold for $7.3 million was the largest residential home sale in Brooklyn recorded last month, according to PropertyShark.

The 5,450-square-foot property at 101 Willow Street was built in 1838.

The second-priciest sale was a four-story, 5,200-square-foot townhouse at 45 Remsen Street, also in Brooklyn Heights, for $5.5 million. Next was a two-story suburban home at 439 Avenue South in Gravesend that sold for $4.4 million.

The fourth-priciest sale in Brooklyn was a three-story townhouse at 279 Warren Street in Cobble Hill that changed hands for $3.6 million. Finally, a nearly 2,000-square-foot penthouse condominium — unit PH1F — at Williamsburg’s 15-story north tower at the Edge, at 34 North 7th Street, closed for $3.3 million.

In Queens, a two-story, 5,640-square-foot house at 66 Malba Drive in Whitestone sold for $3.5 million, making it the borough’s biggest residential sale in August.

Next was a two-story, 6,500-square-foot suburban home at 19 Center Drive in Malba that closed for $2.4 million. Then, a detached two-and-a-half-story property at 157-11 Powells Cove Boulevard in Whitestone changed hands for $2.12 million.

The fourth-priciest Queens sale was for a two-story, 5,000-square-foot house at 245-27 Rushmore Avenue in Little Neck that went for $2.1 million.

Lastly, a two-story, 8,250-square-foot mansion at 212-06 64th Avenue in Oakland Gardens sold for $1.9 million, records show.
