Forest City Ratner re-hired some of the workers who were laid off over the summer to finish construction on what is supposed to become the world’s tallest modular tower. But the completion date for the building has been pushed back.

The modular tower in Brooklyn’s Pacific Park will be the first residential project to rise at the site by the Barclays Center, according to NY1.

The original completion date for the tower — named B2 BKLYN —  was initially scheduled for this month. That date has now been pushed back to 2016.

Roughly 25 workers have been re-hired so far, NY1 reported, adding that Forest City Ratner plans to rehire all 150 employees who were let go.

Work on the 32-story tower came to a halt in August when the developer and its contractor Skanska USA fought each other in court. The dispute arose over payments and the timing of the project.

Meanwhile, Forest City has bought out Skanska. The company partnered with the firm to form FCS Modular, the entity in charge of building the tower made out of prefabricated housing units. [NY1] — Claire Moses
