Abraham Leser to bring large resi project to Borough Park

The 230,000 sf project will be made up of 13 separate structures and include 128 units

Abraham Leser is bringing a 230,000-square-foot development with 128 apartments to the border of Borough Park and Bensonhurst in Brooklyn.

An application for a permit to build the project, which will consist of 13 separate buildings of six stories each, was filed with the city last week, according to New York YIMBY. The new housing development — geared toward the borough’s Hasidic community — will be located at 1560 60th Street.

The land — which is bounded by 60th Street, 16th Avenue, 61st Street And The Long Island Rail Road’s Bay Ridge Branch — was rezoned two years ago, according to the website.

John Schimenti P.C. Architect is the architect of record. Abraham Leser’s Borough Park-based Mapleton Group is developing the project. Leser bought the land in 2013, after it was rezoned, for $17.5 million.
