British starchitect Norman Foster was just named “Most Admired Architect” for the ninth year in a row. The competition is managed by architecture website BD, who conducts an annual survey of the biggest architecture practices around the globe, according to Curbed. Foster, whose 2014 projects include an Apple store in Istanbul and a winning design for an airport in Mexico City, called the title “a great honor.” Among the top five are Swiss firm Herzog & de Meuron, international firm Gensler, the offices of Italian architect Renzo Piano and Denmark’s Bjarke Ingels Group.
