Longtime Brown Harris Stevens broker Cathy Franklin decamped to the Corcoran Group today, The Real Deal has learned. A top-producing agent with a long list of deals in the toniest buildings on the Upper East Side, Franklin spent 28 years at BHS. To date, she has sold upwards of $3 billion of real estate, according to her BHS bio.

Her greatest hits include a $42 million sale of a townhouse 973 Fifth Avenue in 2012, a deal she did in concert with Paula Del Nunzio.

“Cathy Franklin is a megastar of the real estate industry,” Corcoran CEO Pamela Liebman said in a statement. BHS president Hall Willkie said: “We wish Cathy and Alexis well.”

Franklin is bringing longtime business partner Alexis Bodenheimer with her to Corcoran. Last spring, the duo sold art collector Donald Bryant Jr.’s duplex at 19 East 72nd Street for $12.2 million. And in April, they listed a $43 million penthouse at 1 Central Park West, which has since been reduced to $37.5 million. In 2013, they listed Lowell Hotel owner Fouad Chartouni’s townhouse at 6 East 93rd Street for rent, asking $125,000 a month.

“I have had a wonderful experience at Brown Harris Stevens for more than 25 years,” Franklin said in a statement. “There comes a time when the prospect of taking one’s business in a new direction in order to achieve success on a different scale presents itself. Corcoran offers exactly that.”

Franklin’s move comes as Corcoran is trying to rebound from the loss of several well-known agents in recent months. Last week, the firm welcomed Bill Cunningham back from Trump International Realty, where he was president for eight months.
