West Village to get new 12-story office building

New structure at 76 Eighth Ave. will replace a low-rise commercial building

UPDATED, Feb. 24, 11:10 a.m.: A new 12-story office building is being planned in the West Village, according to property records filed with the city today.

A two-story commercial building will make way for the new project, which will have 35,1766 square feet of commercial space and include ground floor retail, along with offices on the second through 12th floors, according to a permit application filed with the Department of Buildings. No demolition permits have yet been filed for the site, at 76 Eighth Avenue, between 13th and 14th Streets.

Chun Lee of Chun Woo Realty Corp is the owner of the site. He was not immediately available to comment.
