Singer Roberta Flack lists Dakota pad for $9.5M
She has lived in the building for nearly 40 years
Roberta Flack, the legendary singer responsible for hits like “Killing Me Softly” and “The First Time I Ever Saw Your Face,” listed her apartment in the Dakota for $9.5 million.
Flack has lived in the storied Upper West Side building at 1 West 72nd Street for nearly forty years, with John Lennon, Yoko Ono, Leonard Bernstein and Lauren Bacall as neighbors at various points, according to the New York Daily News.
The two-bedroom, two-bathroom apartment features four fireplaces, arched windows and historic moldings.
“This is a rare chance to acquire a historic residence, in a legendary building, from an iconic Star,” listing broker Steven Minichiello of Town Residential said in his description of the property.
Bacall’s apartment also recently came on the market, and is currently asking $23.5 million. [NYDN] — Tess Hofmann
