Moses Strulowitz’s Bed-Stuy building collapses

UPDATED, 3:32 p.m., July 14: A four-story, mixed-use building owned by Moses Strulowitz collapsed in Bedford-Stuyvesant Tuesday afternoon, injuring three people, according to news reports.

The 4,000-square-foot property at 1432-1438 Fulton Street fell around 2:30 p.m. The building, located near Tompkins Avenue, holds five rentals apartments and one ground-floor retail space. It’s unknown if anyone was trapped inside.

Strulowitz bought the building along with 1426 Fulton Street for a total of $11 million last year, according to PropertyShark.

Strulowitz’s CS Real Estate filed plans last year for a seven-story, Karl Fischer-designed apartment building at 1430 Fulton Street that will have 64 apartments across 47,000 square feet of residential space as well as 12,000 square feet of retail space, as previously reported.
