After three years on the market and a brutal price chop, famed interior designer Geoffrey Bradfield has finally sold his Lenox Hill townhouse. The four-story, three-bedroom home at 116 East 61st Street sold for $9.9 million, barely more than half the $18 million it first hit the market for in 2012.

Seema and Somesh Khanna are the buyers, and Douglas Elliman had the listing. Built in the 1800s, the renovated, 4,294-square foot townhouse has a garden and a rooftop terrace.

Unsurprisingly for the home of an interior designer, the house comes with fancy-sounding features like a “master bath in Thassos white marble” and “Venetian plaster walls.”

Bradfield, who was born in South Africa and became a leading interior designer to the global elite, used the townhouse both as his primary residence and his company headquarters. His work includes the estate of Gertrude Vanderbilt Whitney and director Oliver Stone’s residence.

“I love 61st Street and have lived in this area for going on 37 years,” he told the New York Observer last year. “I’ve never moved — it’s always been my home.”
