The CEO of T-Mobile scooped up an Upper West Side penthouse once owned by William Randolph Hearst for $18 million.

John Legere entered into contract on the pad, at 91 Central Park West, on July 7, according to public records. The telecommunications executive closed on the four-bedroom co-op on Sept. 29.

The penthouse hit the market in November 2014, asking $27.5 million. Last fall, fashion designer Giorgio Armani reportedly went into contract for the apartment and planned to combine it with an adjacent duplex, although the deal fell through.

The price was subsequently slashed to $22.75 million and then $18.5 million this spring, according to StreetEasy.

The duplex features a wood-burning fireplace, herringbone floors and a private terrace spanning 1,600 square feet. It also features hand-carved mahogany and oak doors that Hearst scavenged from European churches.

The Corcoran Group’s Brian Rice and Douglas Albert had the listing. Neither could be reached for comment.
