NYC players talk about cracking the Miami market: VIDEO

Top developers and brokers riff on growing New York-South Florida connection

Gotham’s biggest real estate titans are beginning to set their sights on establishing a second stronghold in South Florida.

At The Real Deal‘s South Florida Real Estate Showcase and Forum last week, Town Residential CEO Andrew Heiberger went as far as to call Miami the “unofficial sixth borough of New York City.”

Heiberger joined Compass president Leonard Steinberg, Brown Harris Stevens broker Bess Freedman, Peter Fine of To Better Days Development and Nest Seekers International top broker Ryan Serhant on the event’s “New to Miami” panel, where speakers riffed on the growing connection between New York and South Florida real estate. Moderated by TRD managing web editor Hiten Samtani, panelists discussed the rising number of New York developers and brokerages that are taking advantage of Miami’s hot real estate market.
