Pomeranc, Rosen put Columbus Circle hotel on the market
The buyer is expected to demolish the hotel and build up to 63,510 square feet
The Pomeranc Group and Rosen Partners are putting an 88-key hotel at 6 Columbus Circle on the market.
The property will likely be torn down to make way for a new building that could span over 63,000 square feet.
Pomeranc and Rosen purchased the 12-story hotel — then the West Park Hotel — 15 years ago for $11.5 million. After several years of delays, they opened the hotel in 2007 under Thompson Hotels.A source estimated to the Commercial Observer that the property will trade for $1,400 per buildable square foot, or $88.9 million. Cushman & Wakefield’s Bob Knakal has the listing.
The site is also home to a Blue Ribbon Sushi Bar & Grill, which has occupied 1,000 square feet on the ground floor since 2011. [Commercial Observer] — Kathryn Brenzel
