  • Architect Frank Gehry will not be designing any of the planned 17
    buildings in the Atlantic Yards project, a spokesperson for the
    architect said. Last week developer Bruce Ratner announced that Gehry
    would not be designing the arena in the project, but now the architect
    won’t be involved in any of the buildings, which he has worked on for
    the past six years. Ratner said the designs cost too much. Gehry has
    already been paid tens of millions of dollars for his work on the Atlantic
    Yards, and a Ratner spokesperson said that his master plan for the
    development and his guidelines will remain in place. [more]
