The New York Supreme Court has opted not to enact injunctions against
two Hamptons homes that residents say are party houses, the
Southampton Patch reported. Both houses have numerous code enforcement
violations that need to be addressed by the end of the week, said Tiffany Scarlato, an attorney for the town. The first home is at 1432 Scuttle Hole
Road in Bridgehampton, and was reportedly rented by Gilt City for
parties, classes and other events for which the company would charge admission. The second house is at 2136 Deerfield Road in Noyac, and has also
received numerous complaints from neighbors and visits from code
enforcement. Gilt City was prevented from moving into East Hampton
Village by the village board. Resident Mark Humphrey, who lives across
the street from the Deerfield Road property, said he has called the
police at least seven times this summer in the middle of the night to
complain about noise from large parties.“One time I couldn’t even find
my driveway,” he said. Scarlato said that in spite of the injunction,
the town would continue to monitor the houses. [Patch] [more]

Kelsey Grammer and the Bridgehampton home he recently sold

Former “Fraiser” star and newlywed Kelsey Grammer has found a buyer for his 7,500-square-foot Bridgehampton mansion, according to the New York Post. The undisclosed buyer paid the property’s full $9.95 million asking price. Although this recent property sale leaves Grammer without a Hamptons hideaway for the time being, the actor said he’s considering buying another East End home in the future. As for rumors that Grammer was planning to buy a Plaza pad? Totally false, said Grammer, who bought a $7.52 million, 3,000-square-foot apartment in Jean Nouvel’s 100 11th Avenue condominium last November. [more]

    228 Surfside Drive

A 13,000-square-foot house at 228 Surfside Drive in Bridgehampton –
one of the few spec houses built on the East End of Long Island in 2009
    – has gone into contract, according to Curbed. The almost-oceanfront
home was originally listed for $15 million when it hit the market in

year. Although it’s not immediately clear how much the house went into
contract for, the listing — which was marketed by Prudential Douglas
Elliman — had been built on land purchased for $4.7 million in 2008.
The nine-bedroom, 10.5-bathroom home includes a wet bar, wine cellar
    and a putting green. [Curbed]

  • While David Walentas, owner of Two Trees Management and de facto baron of Dumbo, may spend his fair share of time in Brooklyn, the property owner has made his mark out east, as well. Walentas’ Bridgehampton farm is home to the annual Mercedes-Benz Polo Challenge — and, with an asking price of $95 million, is among the priciest Hamptons listings around. The 115-acre property, which has languished on the market for 21 months, was on display for the New York Observer, which provided a peek inside the lavish property. The farm, which includes a lap pool and equine facilities , includes some of Walentas’ more outlandish decor ideas, including a moose head he’s named “Moosilini.” [NYO]
