Despite overwhelming support from local officials, the planned Macedonia Complex in Queens continues to anger Flushing businesses because it lacks parking, the New York Daily News reported. BRP Companies and Macedonia African Methodist Episcopal Church closed last month on a $49.6 million loan to begin building a 14-story, 143-unit affordable housing development on a parking lot at 37-08 Union Street. Greene-Ville Gardens, an organic grocery store is now open on the ground floor of the Clermont, a six-story, 52-unit rental development at 150 Clermont Avenue in Fort Greene, Brooklyn, BRP Companies announced. The Douglass at 2110 Frederick Douglass Boulevard

New condominium the Douglass, at 2110 Frederick Douglass Boulevard at the corner of 114th Street in Harlem, has launched sales today. The 38-unit development includes one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments, ranging from 762-square-feet to 1,355-square-feet, according to a press release. While regulations mandate that new developments must be 50 percent pre-sold before qualifying for Federal Housing Administration financing, which offers qualified buyers more than 95 percent financing through mortgages insured by the federal government, the developer at the Douglass, BRP Companies, and its marketing firm, Halstead Property Development Marketing, plans to make the cut.
