New York Yankees captain Derek Jeter is considering renting a five-bedroom, four-bathroom duplex in the Chelsea Quarter Condominium, the New York Post reported. After revealing back in April that he intends to downsize to a Manhattan pied-a-terre, Jeter recently viewed a 4,000-square-foot apartment, located at at 129 West 20th Street, which is asking $25,000 a month. Baseball shortstop Derek Jeter has sold his 88th floor penthouse apartment inside the Trump World Tower at 845 United Nations Plaza for $15.5 million, according to city records filed today. The deed shows the date of sale as September 25 to an entity named SARA RS LLC.
The Department of State links the LLC to a Silvio Luiz Reichert. Sonia Col, who is listed as the buyer’s attorney in the deed, did not immediately return a call seeking comment on the purchaser and his professional work. [more]

The New York Post reported the Yankee captain is putting his 5,425-square-foot apartment, at 845 United Nations Plaza, on the market for $17.95 million with Carrie Chiang, a senior vice president with the Corcoran Group. Yankee captain Derek Jeter is looking for a new residence at “This Old House” host Bob Vila’s Flatiron apartment. The New York Post reported that Jeter has been seen visiting the building at 15 East 26th Street, known as 15 Madison Square North, on two seperate occasions. The 2,577-square-foot penthouse duplex, on the 20th and 21st floors, has a 700-square-foot private deck and is being listed for $5.7 million by Brown Harris Stevens agents Mary Rutherfurd and Russell Miller. Vila bought the home in 2009 for $6 million, according to public records.
