    Daniel Horowitz and Ira Schuman of Studley won the Real Estate Board
    of New York’s “Ingenious Deal of the Year” first-place award for their
    sale of Hunter College’s 127-133 East 79th Street, at a reception last
    night at the 101 Club. Second place went to Eric Deutsch and Ken
    Meyerson of CB Richard Ellis for their lease to the Gap at 40 Worth
    Street, and Cushman & Wakefield’s Michael Rotchford won third place for his sale and

  • SL Green recently leased
    17,528 square feet of space at 461 Fifth Avenue, at 40th Street, to
    Everest Reinsurance Company, making the building 100 percent occupied.
    The firm expanded into 6,933 square feet, signing a new lease for the
    entire 20th floor of the tower. Eric Deutsch of CB Richard Ellis
    represented Everest in the transaction and Christopher Gulden acted in-house for SL Green. At a recent conference, Marc Holliday, CEO of SL
    Green, said: “Rents in the city have gone down fairly significantly but
    with that
    said, if you have the ability to meet the market and the balance sheet
    to meet the market, there’s still velocity.”
