    Prudential Douglas Elliman named the East Hampton office its top performing unit across all of Long Island and Westchester in 2011, at its annual awards ceremony yesterday.

    Lori Barbaria, an agent based out of the firm’s East Hampton office took home the top individual broker honor, while the Bridgehampton-based Enzo Morabito Team claimed the top spot among the firm’s brokerage squads. The rankings were based on Gross Commission Income. [more]

    A Francis Fleetwood-designed oceanfront residence in Bridgehampton is now listed for $19 million, after slashing $1 million off its $20 million asking price, Curbed reported. The property — which boasts 2.6 acres, including 300 feet of beachfront property — has been on the market since June 2009, when it was originally listed for $22 million. The five-bedroom, six-and-a-half-bathroom house on Dune Road is being marketed by Lori Barbaria of Prudential Douglas Elliman.   • George Stephanopoulos buys in Hamptons

    ABC’s George Stephanopoulos is moving from Washington D.C. to New York City and has purchased a $3.5 million, five-bedroom home in East Hampton to accompany the relocation. The newly-appointed “Good Morning America” host and former adviser to President Bill Clinton scored the 4,500-square-foot house from two local restaurateurs at 7 percent off the asking price. It sits on a one-acre lot and has three fireplaces, a pool, outdoor shower, and guest cottage. John Glicking of Sotheby’s International Realty represented Stephanopoulos and his wife, actress Alexandra Wentworth, in the sale. Lori Barbaria of Prudential Douglas Elliman had the listing.     An oceanfront home on the market in Bridgehampton saw its price cut by $1 million, or 5 percent, yesterday, according to The home, at 167 Dune Road, is now listed for $21 million, down from the original asking price of $22 million when it went on the market in June. The five-bedroom, six-bathroom home has a chef’s kitchen, a built-in stereo system, three-car garage and pool. Prudential Douglas Elliman’s Lori Barbaria, who has the listing, said she thinks the price cut makes the property, built in 2006, a “great deal. There aren’t very many houses available oceanfront in the Hamptons that are already completely done,” she said. TRD[more]
