The duplex penthouse at the former Mayfair Hotel belonging to Nautica founder David Chu has finally found a buyer, according to public records filed with the city today. An unknown buyer, who purchased under the name 610 Park LLC, paid $23.68 million for the property.
Chu and his wife purchased the five-bedroom penthouse, which had been combined with the unit below, in 1999. It was initially listed for $32.8 million with the Corcoran Group’s Carrie Chiang in March 2010, which made it one of the top 10 most expensive condo listings in the city at the time. It was then taken off the market at various intervals, and saw interest from “Sex and the City” star Sarah Jessica Parker and husband Matthew Broderick.
