    Chelsea, Socarrat Bar de Vinos, is now open at 261 West 19th Street.
    On the Upper East Side, Johnny Rockets opened Monday at 1134 First Avenue near 62nd Street, according to a press release. In Brooklyn, Cafe 474 opened earlier this week at 474 Fifth Avenue in Park Slope. In Queens, a wine shop called Table Wine just opened at 79-14 37th Avenue in Jackson Heights. Hayashi Sushi opens at 2901 Ocean Avenue near Avenue Y in Sheepshead Bay. Brooklyn Fare will expand into a stand alone, 50-seat reatuarant next door at 200 Schermerhorn Street in Downtown Brooklyn.

In Chinatown, Xi’an Famous Foods has opened its first Manhattan location at 88 East Broadway, near the Manhattan Bridge. In Soho, food blogger Ben Leventhal will open a high-end sushi restaurant called Commodore
    at 170 Mercer Street.
    In Midtown, Le Pain Quotidien will open up a location in the Time Life
    Building at 1271 Sixth Avenue near West 51st Street, according to a
    press release. In the East Village, tapas bar Barrell Bar Café will open tonight at 10 Stuyvesant Street. Tully’s gluten-free bakery has opened on East 11th Street between First and Second avenues. A Chipotle is coming to the ground floor of the Zeckendorf Towers at One Irving Place. Comments

In the East Village, Lautrec Bistro wine bar has opened at 111 First Avenue between 6th and 7th streets. Price Wise Health & Beauty Aids,
    which currently has three Manhattan locations, will open a fourth
    location at 10 Union Square East.  2 U Karaoke Lounge Suites has
    received signage in the former Mondo Kim’s space on St. Mark’s.
    Bluebird Coffee Shop will open at 72 East 1st Street between First and
    Second avenues. A new Venezuelan restaurant called Guayoyo is coming to the corner of East 4th Street and First Avenue in the former Ishikura Sushi space. Carroll Gardens pub P.J. Hanley’s is opening an outpost on First Avenue between 7th Street and St. Mark’s Place.

    bar has opened in an
    undisclosed location a “little farther east than weekend revelers
    usually go.” In Soho, Shecky’s Media company has moved from its offices
    at 678 Broadway to a larger space at 155 Sixth Avenue in Soho next to
    the Trump Soho building, according to a press release. In Tribeca, Baja News Café has opened at 225 Varick Street, according to another release. Baby clothing store Petite Pomme
    has opened at 186 Duane Street. In the East Village, the owners of the
    Brooklyn flea will open a 6,500-square-feet holiday flea market called Gifted
    in the old Tower Records space at 20 East 4th Street at Lafayette
    Street. In Noho, Japanese-inspired British clothing store Superdry has
    opened at Broadway and Washington Place. A Jodi Arnold pop-up shop has opened on University Place and 10th Street. Further uptown, Lucy’s Mexican Cantina will open at 1 Penn Plaza on 34th Street and Eighth Avenue. The annual Holiday shops
    at Bryant Park are now open until Jan. 3. Gourmet pastry shop Sprig
    will open in the first quarter of 2010 in the Lipstick Building at 885
    Third Avenue, according to a release. Salad joint Chop’t is opening a new location on Broadway between 41st and 42nd streets. Comments

    is coming to 147 East Houston Street in the former Chickpea space.
    Multipurpose store and event space Puro Chile has arrived at 221 Centre
    Street at Grand Street. In Soho, a temporary Gucci Icon pop-up has opened for two weeks on Crosby Street. Joe’s Bar has reopened after a temporary closing at 520 East 6th Street between avenues A and B. Construction is moving along at Pulinos Bar and Pizzeria
    on the corner of Bowery and Houston Street. Smoothie shop Xoom is
    slated to open on 7th Street between First Avenue and Avenue A.
    In Greenwich Village, Italian bakery Piccola Cucina Focacceria has opened at 120 MacDougal Street between Bleecker and West 3rd streets. In Union Square, Burrito joint Dos Toros is coming to 137 Fourth Avenue between 13th and 14th streets.
    An “artisanal” chocolate shop called Chocolate is opening on Ninth Avenue near 20th Street in Chelsea. In Midtown, athletic shoe store Asics has opened its first Manhattan location at 51 West 42nd Street, near Bryant Park. Chilean sandwich shop Barros Locos celebrated its grand opening today on Second Avenue and 52nd Street. Sandwich shop Financier Patisserie has opened on Sixth Avenue between 47th and 48th streets in the walkway that goes through the Fox News Building.  More

Restaurant Oceana opened yesterday in the McGraw Hill Building at 1221 Sixth Avenue at 49th Street. Mexican restaurant Hecho en Dumbo has moved to 354 Bowery in the former Marion’s space.
