  • 123 Melrose Street

    123 Melrose Street in Bushwick

    Real estate investor Yoel Goldman of All Year Management closed on a piece of the former Rheingold Brewery site in Bushwick for $68.5 million, according to property records filed with the city Thursday.

    Goldman acquired 123 Melrose Street from a partnership between Joseph Tabak of Princeton Holdings and Robert Wolf of Read Property Group, according to the filing. The deal closed Oct. 13. [more]

  • Brookdale Hospital

    A group of Brooklyn multifamily investors purchased four residential buildings in Brooklyn from the financially pressed Brookdale University Hospital and Medical Center, for $22 million, a broker on the deal said.

    The investment group led by major apartment owners David Spira and Robert Wolf closed on the purchase of the apartment buildings, located in Brownsville and East Flatbush, on Friday, said Matthew Bordwin, co-president of GA Keen Realty Advisors. Keen was the exclusive broker for Brookdale, which is being restructured. [more]

  • David Bistricer, a Brooklyn landlord highly ranked on Public Advocate Bill de Blasio’s slumlord watchlist, has been slapped with a lawsuit by the Flatbush Gardens Tenant Association, according to Crain’s. The suit alleges that Bistricer failed to live up to his part of an agreement with the association that the tenant organization would provide a letter of support for him in his attempt to buy Brooklyn’s huge affordable housing complex Starrett City in 2007 in return for his efforts to improve conditions at 1402-04 Brooklyn Avenue, a Flatbush Gardens building. The letter of support was delivered, the improvements were not, the tenants say. … [more]
