    The oft-traded Rothschild Mansion on the Upper East Side is changing hands once again. The six-story home sold last week for the third time since 2012, trading for $33 million.

    Neither buyer nor seller were disclosed, with the buyer an LLC affiliated with an offshore holding company, according to property records filed with the city Wednesday.

    Sotheby’s International Realty’s Serena Boardman listed the eight-bedroom Rothschild Mansion, located at 41 East 70th Street between Madison and Park avenues, for $40 million last year before dropping the asking price to $35 million earlier this year. [more]

    After sitting on the market for nearly seven years and going through a litany of prices changes, the Upper East Side’s Rothschild Mansion will finally trade for $25 million to an unknown buyer, sources told Bloomberg News.

    The Century Foundation, a think tank that analyzes U.S. public policy, had owned the six-story, 11,300-square- foot townhouse since 1958 and will now relocate to the Financial District, according to Derek Newton, a Century Foundation spokesperson. [more]
