  • The Hamptons market has had a rough go of the financial crisis, with some suggesting that the spot may have lost its allure. Over the summer, some Hamptons brokers admitted they’ve ditched the “clubhouse mindset” in an effort to bring buyers back. So Curbed has compiled a list of the top ten cheapest homes in Sagaponack, for the fiscally minded luxury lover. Of course, being the cheapest home in one of the priciest markets means it’s not really a bargain-basement kind of spot — the number one cheapest home is a five-bedroom house with an asking price of $735,000. According to the listing, the property has been stuck on the market since 2007.

  • Sagaponack home rents for $900K

    An oceanfront home in Sagaponack
    that belongs to New Jersey Governor Jon Corzine’s ex-wife recently
    rented for $900,000. Susan Breitenbach of the Corcoran Group
    represented the renter, and said the price might be a record for a
    seasonal rental in the Hamptons. The lease is from Memorial Day to
    October. The 6,200-square-foot home has six bedrooms, five and a half
    baths, a heated pool, tennis court and more than 500 feet of frontage
    along the beach.
