Villages developer contributes to campaigns of pols who approved project

The Auburn Group, a South Florida developer that is building the Villages at Delray, a rental community for low-income families, contributed to campaigns for two of the three Delray Beach elected officials who voted to approve the project. Mayor Woodie McDuffie and Commissioner Adam Frankel got nearly 20 percent of their campaign funding from Auburn or an Auburn-affiliated business, according to an analysis of donation records. Combined, McDuffie and Frankel received at least $14,000 from Auburn.
